BOT Contract of the 40MW Combustion Turbine Generator Unit of Piti Power Plant in Guam, U.S.A.

This project is the first Independent Power Plant (IPP) invested by TEMES, Inc.. After the Plant successfully connected to the grid, TEMES, Inc. has been in charge of the management, operation and maintenance of the Plant for the 20 years afterward. After the expiration of the contract the whole project will be transferred to Guan Power Authority. This project was awarded to TEMES, Inc. through an open tender in September, 1996 by Guam Power Authority (GPA). The unit has been put into commercial operation since December, 1997 and greatly helped GPA to overcome the shortage of electricity in Guam. The main equipment is as follows:

Electrification Project, Saudi Arabia

The first and the largest project TEMES, Inc. has ever implemented was the construction work of Al-Baha Electrification Project of Saudi Arabia. This project covered a service from design, construction and commission, to a period of 7 years of operation & maintenance (O&M) services of a power system. The construction was implemented over a period of 9 years, from July 1977 to August 1986. The total project cost included the construction cost and the O&M fee was more than US dollars two hundred million (USD 200,000,000). There were up to 1300 employees of TEMES, Inc. stationed at site during the peak period of the construction.
